Teeth Whitening InformationWhy use Solaire Teeth Whitening system?
Solaire teeth whitening systems use high concentrations of peroxide gels, therefore making it the most effective teeth whitening product for instant and ongoing results.
What is the difference between Hydrogen Peroxide and Carbamide Peroxide gel?
There is a 3 to 1 relationship between carbamide peroxide and hydrogen peroxide. This means that 12% hydrogen peroxide is equivalent in theory to around 36% carbamide peroxide. In practice people prefer carbamide peroxide because it is a softer treatment and is less likely to cause sensitivity on gums and teeth.
Carbamide peroxide works more effectively than hydrogen peroxide, in that the carbamide peroxide continues to work for four hours post treatment. Hydrogen peroxide only works during the actual treatment.
Hydrogen peroxide is effective for whitening yellow teeth and carbamide peroxide is effective for whitening intrinsic stains.
Can all teeth be whitened?
Peroxide gels are great for removing most common stains (red wine, coffee, tea, tobacco, ageing etc.). However, it is not possible to turn teeth whiter than their natural colour. Artificial dental work such as crowns, caps, veneers, bridges will not respond to bleaching.
How white can I expect my teeth to get?
Expect to see your teeth between 2 to 4 shades whiter following a double treatment and a take home course.
How long will the whitening last?
Depending on a person’s consumption of coffee, tea, red wine, colas, and other darkening agents such as tobacco, most people could benefit from a course every 3-6 months.
