DHA & Sunless Tanning
In these fast moving times, where tanned skin symbolizes health, dynamism and activity, there is no alternative that provides adequate tanning but which is harmless. Even the fairest skins, normally prone to burning in the sun, will have a golden glow without exposure to UV.
Dihydroxyacetone is a sugar based derivative. It is the only colour additive currently approved by FDA (Food & Drug Administration). DHA has a health risk rating of 0 – normal. It reacts with the keratin proteins in the surface (dead) layers of the skin, producing a bronzed glow. Once the colour has been fully developed, the hue is substantive and will only fade as the skin sheds dead skin cells._Should you have concerns about ingesting DHA solution, you can consult the FDA for their recommended Protective Guidelines.
Storage & Maintenance of Spray Tan Solution
Products containing DHA should be stored in a cool, dark environment as this will ensure optimal stability and effectiveness of the active self-tanning agents. If you're not using it quickly we recommend you store the solution in the fridge.
